LCHC Sponsors Safety Stations for Chariton Schools

Lucas County Health Center (LCHC) is proud to announce its sponsorship of new Safety Stations in each Chariton school building, designed to provide quick access to lifesaving tools in case of an emergency.

Each Safety Station box contains Narcan, an Epipen, a rescue inhaler, and a LifeVac choking rescue device. The initiative is coordinated by school nurse, Nicki Schultz, who will also be providing training to staff members in every building on how to properly use each item. These Safety Stations will be a valuable resource not only for students and staff, but also for parents and visitors during school-sponsored events.

“LCHC takes great pride in helping our community be prepared,” said Lori Johnson, Chief Operations Officer at Lucas County Health Center. “While we hope these items are never needed, it’s always better to be prepared than to wish you had them.”

With this partnership, LCHC and Chariton schools are working together to create a safer environment for all.
