LCHC Proudly Announces First-Ever ROSE Award Recipient and Nominees

Lucas County Health Center is proud to recognize the nominees and recipient of the inaugural ROSE (Recognition of Service Excellence) Award.

Created in 2025, the ROSE Award was developed as a way to recognize and celebrate the contributions of all LCHC team members who demonstrate exceptional service, compassion, and commitment to improving both the patient and employee experience.

“This award was created to honor employees who consistently go above and beyond for our patients, visitors, coworkers, and community,” said Jay Christensen, CEO at LCHC. “We are fortunate to have so many individuals who embody these values every day.”

LCHC would like to recognize the following 2026 ROSE Award nominees:

Faith Hickerson
Faith was recognized for her cheerful and helpful demeanor, both over the phone and during patient check-in and check-out experiences. Her nomination noted that her positivity shines through in every interaction and reflects her genuine passion for helping others.

Kim Sanders
Kim was nominated for exemplifying excellence in cleaning services and consistently striving for the highest quality in her work. Her nomination shared that she goes above and beyond to support those around her by offering guidance, lending a helping hand, and brightening others’ days with her positive attitude.

The 2026 ROSE Award recipient is Kristine Kennedy.

Kristine was selected for her exceptional leadership, compassion, and dedication to supporting both volunteers and staff throughout the organization. Her full nomination read:

“The ROSE Award celebrates those who demonstrate exceptional service, compassion, and commitment to improving the patient and employee experience. This person exemplifies these qualities in every aspect of her work.

Recruiting and maintaining a large staff of volunteers is no easy task, yet she does so with warmth, professionalism, and an unwavering dedication to LCHC’s mission. She makes each volunteer feel valued, special, and uniquely important to the team.

Through her efforts, volunteers are placed in many patient care areas, easing the workload of employees and allowing them to focus on what matters most — caring for patients.

Remarkably, with the exception of the CEO, she has more individuals reporting to her than anyone else at LCHC. Her ability to guide, support, and inspire such a large group speaks to her exceptional leadership and organizational skills.

As a volunteer myself, I can personally attest that she creates an environment where people want to give their time and talents. My own positive experience at LCHC is directly attributable to her encouragement, compassion, and dedication.”

LCHC congratulates Kristine Kennedy and all ROSE Award nominees for the compassion, excellence, and service they bring to their roles each and every day.
