The Comfort Fund at Lucas County Health Center was started by Van Allen students in 2019 as a way to support patients who are battling cancer and is a program we have been proud to carry on. On their first day of chemotherapy, our patient receives a “Comfort Bag” filled with items that are useful during and after their treatment. These bags have been solely funded through the generous contributions of our community since 2019.
