Jana VanHaaften has worked in various areas and capacities of health care , yet her passion is working with kidney patients. She has worked in nephrology for over 25 years and loves educating patients and families about kidney disease while empowering them to make good choices so they can live life to the fullest. Jana strives to provide the best care to her patients through personal connections which help her give exceptional individualized care.
When Jana VanHaaften is not in the clinic, she enjoys running, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her adult children’s families. Jana was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa and is excited to be working back in her hometown. She received her undergraduate degree at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and after completion of this degree she attended the University of Minnesota for Graduate School. Jana is American Nurses Credentialing Center certified. She is at our Methodist Plaza office location.
