Lucas County Health Center Welcomes Peter Hoftiezer to Medical Staff

Lucas County Health Center is pleased to welcome Peter Hoftiezer, DO to the active medical staff.

Dr. Hoftiezer is board certified in Family Medicine and Geriatrics. He joins LCHC from Mahaska Health Partnership in Oskaloosa. He received his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. Dr. Hoftiezer completed his Family Practice Residency at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri and was the Chief Fellow in the Geriatrics Fellowship Program at Millcreek Community Hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Hoftiezer was elected to and continues to serve as a trustee on the board of the Iowa Osteopathic Medical Association. He has a passion for teaching and has lectured in both continuing medical education and in the medical school settings. He lives with his wife, Tara, and their three children. Dr. Hoftiezer and his family enjoy being involved in church, taking walks, bicycling, boating, and reading.

Dr. Hoftiezer is excited to join our community and will begin seeing patients at LCHC Medical Clinic on September 1st.
