Lucas County Health Center Welcomes Kayla Wallace, ARNP to Clinics

As a local girl, Kayla was raised in Corydon, Iowa. She began her journey at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, IA where she received her Associate Degree in Nursing. From there, she attended Graceland University in Independence, Missouri where she received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Nursing. Kayla has previous experience working in medical/surgical care, same day surgery, obstetrics, and emergency nursing.

As a certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Kayla will care for patients of all ages with a variety of healthcare needs. She will see patients at LCHC Medical Clinic and Humeston Medical Clinic. She enjoys caring for the whole family and, as a mother, has a special interest in pediatric care. She will also be joining the Wound Clinic team and will be performing routine wound assessments and determining specialized treatment plans for patients with chronic, non-healing wounds. She will work with wound clinic nurses and collaborating physicians.

In her free time, Kayla enjoys spending time with her husband, Bryan, and their son and two daughters. She likes to be involved with her children’s extracurricular activities, which have included church events, little league baseball, coach pitch softball, and tumbling. During hunting season, Kayla may be found alongside her husband. Her favorite pastime is reading and hobbies include camping, fishing, and swimming with her family.
