LCHC to Host Free “Welcome to Medicare” Seminar

Lucas County Health Center, in partnership with the State of Iowa’s Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP), is hosting a free Welcome to Medicare Seminar on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM in the Education Room at Lucas County Health Center.

This informative session is designed to help individuals approaching Medicare eligibility understand their options and make informed decisions. The seminar will cover:

  • Medicare Parts A & B benefits
  • Prescription Drug Benefits (Part D)
  • Medicare Advantage Plans
  • Medicare Supplement Insurance
  • Identifying Medicare Fraud, Errors, and Abuse

“As people approach Medicare eligibility, navigating their options can feel overwhelming,” said Kristine Kennedy, Volunteer Services Manager at Lucas County Health Center. “This seminar provides a valuable opportunity to receive accurate, unbiased information from trusted experts.”
