LCHC Recognized as 50-Year Member by American Hospital Association

Lucas County Health Center (LCHC) was honored by the American Hospital Association (AHA) for 50 years of membership during the LCHC Board of Trustees meeting held on May 27, 2025.

The AHA’s recognition celebrates LCHC’s long-standing commitment to advancing healthcare and supporting the health and well-being of the Lucas County community. As a member since 1975, LCHC has been part of the national conversation on healthcare policy, innovation, and improvement for half a century.

“Being recognized as a 50-year member of the American Hospital Association is an incredible honor,” said Brian Sims, LCHC CEO. “It reflects not only our ongoing commitment to quality care, but also the dedication of our staff, board, and community over the decades. We are proud of our history and excited for what the future holds for healthcare in Lucas County.”

Founded in 1961, LCHC has served as a cornerstone of healthcare in Lucas County and the surrounding areas. Over six decades, the organization has grown and adapted to offer  services that meet the changing needs of the community and its patients.
