LCHC Medical Clinic Opens Temporary Respiratory Clinic

In response to the ongoing COVID-19 emergency, Lucas County Health Center has opened a Temporary Respiratory Clinic to treat all patients in the most effective setting possible.

LCHC will serve patients in this specialized area to determine the best evaluation and treatment plan for their respiratory illness while protecting other clinic patients and staff.

This temporary clinic will serve patients who have a variety of respiratory conditions, including coughing, sneezing, and shortness of breath.

This is not a COVID-19 test center, but is a temporary clinic that will separate patients with contagious conditions from other patients to keep everyone safe. A separate, temporary setting protects the clinic environment for all patients, including those who need other kinds of care.

Additionally, respiratory illness requires special precautions because they are caused by viruses and are spread by coughing and sneezing. This separate setting helps us limit exposure with staff in protective gear that is used when caring for potential contagious conditions.

Anyone experiencing respiratory illness or with symptoms of COVID-19 (including cough, fever, shortness of breath, muscle aches, or sore throat) are encouraged to call ahead before entering the building. Staff can be reached by calling (641) 774-3000 or (641) 774-8103.
