Lucas County Health Center’s fifth annual Family Fun Fest is set to provide food, inflatables, and fun – all for free! The Family Fun Fest is an event where all ages can come and learn about ways to stay healthy, as well as ways to promote wellness in their lives. This all takes place in a “block party” atmosphere that makes learning fun and exciting!
“We have over 20 different health and wellness-related booths planned with vendors from Chariton and the surrounding areas, including a sun safety booth that will teach about the dangers of sun exposure and how to protect oneself,” says Jena Wiley, Marketing Director for Lucas County Health Center.
All individuals who attend Family Fun Fest will also receive a ticket for free admission into the Aquatic Center for that day.
Along with free swimming, those who attend Family Fun Fest can expect their day to include giveaways, free food, inflatable bounce houses, and more!
“Family Fun Fest is truly a great way to spend the day with your family – and best of all – it’s completely free,” states Wiley. “We hope that people will choose to spend the day with us on June 20, and will walk away with ideas of how to keep their families healthy and happy!”
Family Fun Fest is scheduled for Saturday, June 20, from 11 am – pm at the Vredenburg-Chariton Aquatic Center. A portion of N. 14th Street will be blocked off for the booths and inflatables during the event.
Those planning on attending are requested to enter the event by the registration table in order to receive a free Family Fun Fest bag, meal tickets, as well as their admission tickets to the Aquatic Center. Individuals can also sign up for the chance to win door prizes at the registration table as well.
In case of inclement weather, Family Fun Fest will be re-scheduled for Saturday, June 27 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Vredenburg-Chariton Aquatic Center.
