Patients receiving cancer treatment at Lucas County Health Center’s Infusion Services department will now receive an unexpected touch of comfort, thanks to the family of Cindy Moore, who generously donated 96 comfort bags in her memory.
Cindy Moore, a beloved member of the community, passed away in February after a courageous battle with cancer. To honor her life and continue her legacy of kindness, her family assembled and donated nearly 100 comfort bags for patients undergoing chemotherapy and infusion treatments.
Each bag includes carefully selected items to offer warmth and relief during treatment: puzzle books, colored pencils and pens, lotion, a phone charger, cozy socks, a blanket and pillow, a pill case, lip balm, and a Casey’s gift card. These items reflect common needs and simple comforts that help patients feel cared for during lengthy treatments.
“This donation is a powerful tribute to Cindy’s life and the love she shared with others,” said Paige Nelson, Infusion Services Manager. “Her family’s generosity will impact nearly 100 patients, bringing comfort and peace during a difficult time. We are incredibly grateful they chose to carry on her legacy in such a meaningful way.”
The team at LCHC extends heartfelt thanks to the Moore family for their compassion and generosity. Their gift serves as a reminder that even in loss, love and kindness endure.
