About The ROSE Award
The ROSE Award—Recognition of Service and Excellence—was created by Lucas County Health Center to honor extraordinary team members across all departments who consistently go above and beyond in their roles. This award was designed to complement the DAISY Award by recognizing non-nursing staff who demonstrate exceptional service, compassion, and a commitment to improving the patient and employee experience.
Whether it’s a housekeeper who brings a smile to every patient room, a dietary team member who notices the little things, or a registration clerk who makes check-in seamless and friendly—The ROSE Award celebrates the heroes who make a lasting difference. It also shines a light on clinical team members outside of nursing—such as those in laboratory, radiology, physical therapy, and respiratory therapy—as well as essential support staff in housekeeping, dietary, maintenance, and more, who all play a vital role in delivering exceptional care and service every day.
What is The ROSE Award?
The ROSE Award is given to individuals who exemplify LCHC’s values and go the extra mile in providing outstanding service, teamwork, and care. The award may be presented to any employee—clinical or non-clinical—outside of the nursing department.
Recipients of the ROSE Award will be recognized at a public ceremony and receive:
- A certificate of recognition
- A ROSE Award lapel pin
- A small gift of appreciation
- Public recognition in internal and external communications
Who is eligible for The ROSE Award?
Any LCHC staff member outside of nursing who demonstrates excellence in service and embodies our Core Values—Stewardship, Excellence, Dignity, Hospitality, Integrity, and Teamwork —is eligible to be nominated.
These individuals are role models who:
- Consistently go above and beyond in their roles
- Make a meaningful impact on patients, families, or coworkers
- Create a positive, supportive environment
- Reflect the heart of our mission through their everyday actions
