Days and Shifts:
  • Works 40 hours per week, typically Monday – Friday from 7 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Works weekends as needed
Description:
  • Oversees daily operations of the hospital’s dietary and nutritional services department
  • Leads staff, manages food service operations, and supports patient care through quality nutrition services
  • Ensures the preparation and delivery of safe, nutritious, and appealing meals for patients, staff, and visitors while meeting all regulatory, safety, and dietary requirements
Requirements
Educational/Experience:
  • High school diploma required; associates degree preferred
  • 250-hour Dietary Certificate from State Department of Health or attainment by pre-determined date specified by LCHC.
  • Three to five years direct-related experience, preferably in a healthcare related field
  • One-year supervisory experience preferred.
  • Continuing education, as required by State rules and regulations
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Mandatory Abuse Reporter Certification within 6 months of hire
