Appointments in Medical Clinic

Born and raised in Jackson, Tennessee, Dr. Larsen worked in non-profit community development for several years before he decided to go into medicine. He was drawn to urology for the variety of disease processes and the balance of clinical and surgical modalities it involves. He enjoys getting to know patients and building collaborative approaches to their care. He is board-certified in urology.

Dr. Larsen received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina and completed his residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Before moving to Iowa, he practiced urology for ten years in New Orleans.

When he’s not working, Dr. Larsen enjoys cycling, baking sourdough bread, and watching any good sporting event on television. He is married and has two adorable rescue dogs.
