Public Encouraged To Participate In Community Health Needs Assessment

Over the next two months, Lucas County Public Health and Lucas County Health Center will be conducting a Community Health Needs Assessment to gain insight of local health concerns. The results will help both organizations develop health services and programs to address the needs of our community.

Participants will be asked a series of questions about health-related topics, such as diet and nutrition, exercise, alcohol consumption, and more. Once the data has been collected, the two organizations will meet to discuss the results and develop a community health plan for Lucas County.

The gathered information will assist with making informed decisions on improving access to services, minimizing barriers to healthcare, creating efficiencies in the delivery of care, and developing local health care improvement strategies.

Those interested in participating are encouraged to do so here. Paper copies are also available at Lucas County Health Center, Lucas County Public Health, Chariton Public Library, Chariton Area Chamber/Main Street, Chariton Senior Center, and Chariton City Hall.
