Promote Awareness of Food Allergies By Participating in the Teal Pumpkin Project

Keep watch for teal pumpkins this season!  The Teal Pumpkin Project® is a safe and inclusive way for all to trick-or-treat throughout the Halloween season while promoting awareness of food allergies.  Below are simple ways to participate:

  • Provide non-food treats which may include the following: stickers, pencils, bubbles, whistles, bookmarks, playing cards, and mini notepads.  Be cautious of non-food items that may still contain food allergens (i.e. certain brands of moldable clay may contain wheat). Additionally, try to choose latex-free items.
  • Place a teal pumpkin in front of your home to indicate you have non-food treats available.
  • Add your home to the Teal Pumpkin Project® map.
  • Spread the word by sharing the Teal Pumpkin Project® with friends and family!
