LCHC Business Office Staff Complete Hometown Health University Certifications

Lucas County Health Center is proud to recognize five members of their Business Office for recently completing certification courses with Hometown Health University.

Deb Lindsey, Jamie Woollums, Shelley Quillin, and Bob Stump completed The Patient Access Certification. The Patient Access Representative is the front door to the facility and is usually the first point of contact for their families. They play a key role in the hospital’s revenue cycle; and their attention to accuracy and high level of quality patient claims data is vital to the hospital’s financial success. LCHC’s Patient Access Representatives are able to re-certify yearly to stay current on healthcare’s always evolving processes.

Additionally, Trenna Brown completed the Financial Counselor Certification. The Financial Counselor Certification.  Financial Counselors play an integral role in hospital cash collections and assist patients in locating funding, securing payment and funding sources, and determining the best financial solution available. They must stay current on eligibility requirements for various assistance programs as well as the pre-certification requirements for insurance companies. LCHC’s Financial Counselor is able to re-certify yearly to stay current on new rules and regulations.
