Lucas County Health Center’s Healthy University will host free Chair Yoga classes on Thursday, November 10 at 4:30 PM and 5:45 PM in the Education Room at Lucas County Health Center.
Lynn Marie Nelson, owner of Illuminate Yoga + Natural Solutions and a former resident of Chariton, will discuss yoga benefits, facilitate a Chair Yoga practice, and answer your questions.
Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practice sitting in a chair or standing using a chair for support. This class is available to everybody, including beginners, desk workers, and those that are uncomfortable getting on the ground. Lynn Marie has taught students ages 3 – 93 and will invite you to move with your breath honoring your body’s unique needs. This interactive workshop is open to people of all ages and body types. Wear comfortable and stretchable clothing.
