RN or LPN – Med/Surg (Night Shift)

Days and Shifts:
  • Works varied nights from 6 PM – 6:30 AM
  • Works 36 hours, paid for 40 hours
  • Works every 3rd Friday and Saturday from 6 PM – 6:30 AM
  • On-call one 12-hour shift every other week
Description:
  • Under limited supervision, plans, directs, and evaluates total nursing care and functions in one unit on a particular shift, including functioning in Charge Nurse role
  • Responsible for orientation, training, and management of personnel
  • Relates effectively with other shifts for continuity of care
  • Maintains satisfactory relations with other departments
  • Participates in all phases of education, maintenance of records, and upgrading of policies, procedures, and skills.
Requirements
Educational/Experience:
  • Current Iowa licensure as a Registered Nurse
  • Healthcare Provider BLS
  • Mandatory Abuse Reporter Certification within 6 months of employment
  • ACLS within 12 months of employment
  • PALS within 12 months of employment
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English well
