Cook/Dietary Aide (PRN)

Nutritional Services

Days and Shifts:
  • Varied days from 11 AM – 7:30 PM, as needed
Description:
  • Prepares and cooks meals for patients, employees and visitors using established recipes, formulas, and menu cycles
  • Confers with Nutritional Services Manager or Dietitian regarding food needs, modified diets, menu changes, etc.
  • Operates commercial and large-scale cooking equipment and appliances
Requirements
Educational/Experience:
  • Institutional cooking/food preparation experience helpful
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal directions as given
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and give close attention to detail
  • Modified Dietary Certification, or achievement of same within 90 days of employment
  • Mandatory Abuse Reporter Certification within 6 months of employment
  • Dependable and responsible
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English well
