Days and Shifts:
- Varied days from 11 AM – 7:30 PM, as needed
Description:
- Prepares and cooks meals for patients, employees and visitors using established recipes, formulas, and menu cycles
- Confers with Nutritional Services Manager or Dietitian regarding food needs, modified diets, menu changes, etc.
- Operates commercial and large-scale cooking equipment and appliances
Requirements
Educational/Experience:
- Institutional cooking/food preparation experience helpful
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal directions as given
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and give close attention to detail
- Modified Dietary Certification, or achievement of same within 90 days of employment
- Mandatory Abuse Reporter Certification within 6 months of employment
- Dependable and responsible
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English well
