Laurie is an ABC-certified practitioner, she has more than 25 years of experience in O&P practice. Laurie earned her undergraduate degree from Iowa State University and completed the degree programs in Orthotics and Prosthetics separately at Northwestern University. She is a member of the Iowa Prosthetic Orthotic Pedorthic Association (IPOPA) and Amputee Coalition of America (ACA), and participates in the Central Iowa Amputee Support Group (CIASG). She also conducts orthotic and prosthetic clinics in Albia, Centerville, Corydon, and Chariton, Iowa, on a biweekly basis and works as a clinical instructor and guest lecturer in the Department of Podiatry at Des Moines University. Laurie and her husband, Dave, reside in Des Moines.
