RN, LPN or CMA – Clinic Support Nurse

Days and Shifts:
  • Full-time position
  • Mainly Monday – Friday from 8 AM – 5 PM
  • Varied hours: up to 36-40 hours per week
  • Works Saturday (8 AM – 12 PM) and Sunday (11 AM – 3 PM), as needed.
Description:
  • Assists the Physician and/or Physician’s Assistant, Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in providing patient care to the clinic patients as directed. Relates effectively with other staff for continuity of care; maintains satisfactory relations with other departments of Health Center, participates in all phases of education, maintenance of records, and upgrading of policies, procedures, and skills. Facilitates a friendly, efficient, professional atmosphere within the office.  Assists in the operations of the clinic as directed and maintains clinic in proficient and efficient manner.
Requirements
Educational/Experience:
    • Current AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants) Certification, Iowa Licensed Practical Nurse licensure, or Current Iowa Registered Nurse licensure
      Healthcare Provider BLS certification
      Mandatory Abuse Reporter Certification required within 6 months of employment.
      Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English well.
      Computer literate – Microsoft Office and able to learn additional software programs.
