We believe our employees are our greatest resource. They are the people who care for our patients, support local families, serve their neighbors, and make it possible for us to provide exceptional care every day.
At LCHC, we take pride in being part of something bigger. Because we’re part of a rural community, the relationships we build are personal and genuine. Our team members are the same people you see at ballgames, run into at the grocery store, and see around town. They’re your neighbors, friends, and fellow community members.
That’s what makes working at LCHC different. You’re not just an employee filling a position – you become part of a community, both inside and outside our walls. Whether you’re starting your career or looking for a new opportunity, we invite you to explore what a career at LCHC could look like for you.

Community Benefit
Each year the Iowa Hospital Association (IHA) studies the economic impact hospitals have on their communities. This study looks at how hospitals and the healthcare industry contribute to local jobs, household income, retail sales, and sales tax revenue.
The study uses information provided by Iowa hospitals through the Ameican Hospital association’s Annual Survey of Hospitals, along with economic modeling tools, to measure impact. Together, this data demonstrates the important role hospitals play – not only in caring for their communities, but also in supporting the economy as a whole.

Community Health Needs Assessment
Healthcare is always changing and so are the needs of the people we serve. We believe one of the best ways to care for our community is to ask and listen to what is needed. That’s why we partner with Lucas County Public Health to complete a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) every five years.
This assessment gives our organizations the opportunity to hear from our community, better understand the challenges they face, and identify barriers making it harder to access care and a healthy life. We use what we learn to guide our education, community outreach, and support programs to ensure our efforts are focused on the greatest need.
In 2023, the CHNA identified the following as some of the top health concerns Lucas County residents face:
- Mental health
- Insurance gaps
- Transportation
- Skin cancer
- Blood pressure
