RN Perioperative Nurse/Perioperative Clinic Nurse

Days and Shifts:
  • Work 32-40 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday from 8 AM – 4:30 PM/9 AM – 5:30 PM (varied)
Description:
  • Provides direct patient care in all phases of surgery: Pre-operative, intra-operative, post anesthesia care unit, and post-operative
  • Position also requires central sterile processing functions, including cleaning, preparing/packaging of instruments, and sterilization of instruments and supplies
  • Prepares the operating room for surgery
  • Assists the surgeon as scrub person, and ensures availability, sterility, and safety of all supplies and equipment in Surgery and Central Supply
Requirements
Educational/Experience:
  • Current Iowa licensure as a Registered Nurse
  • ACLS, BLS, & PALS certification within 6 months
  • Mandatory Reporter certification within 6 months of hire
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English well
  • Preferred experience/knowledge:  1 year RN, scrubbing, AORN standards
