About

Dr. Hoftiezer returned to his family’s roots in Iowa in 2013 after he finished his medical training. He began practice in Oskaloosa and then moved his practice to Chariton in 2017. He was elected to and continues to serve as a trustee on the board of the Iowa Osteopathic Medical Association. He has a passion for teaching and has lectured in both continuing medical education and in the medical school settings. He lives with his wife, Tara, and their three children. They enjoy being involved in church, taking walks, bicycling, boating and reading.
