Volunteer Services

LCHC Volunteer Services is designed to match volunteers with opportunities for the mutual benefit of all involved. Director, Linda Baynes, has recruited hundreds of volunteers who donate thousands of hours of their time to the community. With more than 340 volunteers on its roster, LCHC Volunteer Services places people, aged 14-92 years old, in a wide variety of meaningful positions.

Volunteer opportunities include, but are not limited to:

  • Office work
  • Recreational activities
  • Genealogy
  • Schools
  • Nursing homes
  • Lucas County Health Center
  • Telephone reassurance
  • Museums
  • Literacy
  • Friendly visiting
  • Transportation
  • Gift Shop
  • Library
  • Group projects
  • ... and many more!

Become a Volunteer

By becoming a volunteer with LCHC Volunteer Services, you will find fulfillment and a sense of purpose. To sign up, contact Linda Baynes at the Volunteer Services office. From there, an interview will be conducted to determine where you interests may lie in volunteering. All volunteers must go through Volunteer Orientation. Silver Cord hours are awarded to high school students participating in the program.
