RN – ER (PRN)

Days and Shifts:
  • PRN Position
  • Varied days and shifts as needed
  • Shifts from 6 AM – 6:30 PM or 6 PM – 6:30 AM
Description:
  • Under limited supervision, plans, directs, and evaluates total nursing care and functions in one unit on a particular shift, including functioning in Charge Nurse role
  • Responsible for orientation, training, and management of personnel
  • Relates effectively with other shifts for continuity of care
  • Maintains satisfactory relations with other departments
  • Participates in all phases of education, maintenance of records, and upgrading of policies, procedures, and skills.
Requirements
Educational/Experience:
  • 1 year RN Acute Care Experience Required
  • Current Iowa licensure as a Registered Nurse
  • Chauffeur’s License (Helpful but not required)
  • Mandatory Abuse Reporter Certification within 6 months of employment
  • ACLS certification
  • NRP certification
  • TNCC certification
  • PALS certification
  • Healthcare Provider BLS certification
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English well
