Caring for a loved one can be a difficult and emotionally wearing experience. Let the compassionate and caring staff at Lucas County Health Center assist in providing care for your loved one. Whether it’s a temporary stay to provide a break for you, the main caregiver, or an extended stay intended to keep your loved one comfortable during the end stages of life, we are available to assist, provide support, and care for both you and your loved one in a comfortable and private setting. Our private hospice and respite room is equipped with amenities for longer stays, such as a refrigerator, desk, and fold out bed, as well as a separate semi-private lounge area for family to gather.
Respite services are available for up to a five-day stay, while end of life hospice services are provided per the patient’s care plan. You can rest assured knowing that your loved one will be cared for by your hospice and respite provider of choice (i.e., Care Initiatives Hospice, Every Step Hospice, UnityPoint Hospice, or St. Croix Hospice) with support from the caring nursing staff of LCHC.
