To Lucas County Residents:
On behalf of the Trustees and administrative staff of Lucas County Health Center (LCHC), I invite all members of the public to attend the Health Center Board of Trustees open meetings. The seven elected Board members and LCHC staff meet at 7 p.m. the last Tuesday of each month in the Health Center Board Room. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
Lucas County is a great place to live and work. It is critical to our community’s continued success to have people of all ages and backgrounds involved in governing public entities such as the Health Center. It is equally important that elected community leaders have regular input from members of the communities they serve.
Our Board of Trustees consists of people who work without financial reward to support the continuance of quality healthcare services for Lucas County residents. Trustees elected to serve are Chairman Raymond Meyer, Vice Chairman Roger Struve, Treasurer Dr. Rick Runyon, Secretary Corliss Klaassen, and members Betty Hansen, Mike Miller and Natalie McGee. They volunteer countless hours of their time and give careful consideration to the best way to serve the long-term interests of Lucas County.
Your Health Center benefits from the dedication of the volunteers elected by you to represent your views, but we would like to hear from you in person. The first item on the agenda for each LCHC monthly meeting is a public forum.
It takes everyone in the community to ensure that our Health Center will meet the healthcare needs of Lucas County for years to come. Typically, a representative from the local news-paper is the only member of the public attending the majority of LCHC Board meetings. I know I speak for the Board of Trustees when I say we are eager to have improved community attendance at our meetings.
On behalf of the LCHC Board of Trustees, I encourage everyone to come to the meetings of the LCHC Board of Trustees.
Sincerely,
Veronica Fuhs, CEO
Lucas County Health Center
