LCHC Athletic Training Services provides outreach to local high school athletes to help them recover quickly to return to the field of play. Our certified athletic trainer (ATC) educates athletes and coaches on the prevention of injury. He attends many varsity games to provide on-site immediate intervention in case of injury. This service is proudly provided by Lucas County Health Center as a benefit to the community.

A certified athletic trainer (ATC) is an allied health professional who specializes in patient education, prevention of injury, and rehabilitation. LCHC's ATC works closely wtih all local physicians.

Who is eligible for LCHC Athletic Training Services?

All Chariton High School athletes engaged in school-sanctioned atheletics are eligible for referral to LCHC Athletic Training Services at no cost.

How can a Chariton High School student athlete access services?

The best way for Chariton High School student athletes to gain access to athletic training services through Lucas County Heatlh Center is through a coach's referral. If you become injured during practice or competition, talk to your coach about referring you to LCHC Athletic Training Services.

What is included in the LCHC Athletic Training Services?

Each coach's referral will result in an evaluation of the student athlete by LCHC's ATC. Dependent on the extent of the injury, the individualized treatment may include up to three visits.

What does it cost?

LCHC offers Athletic Training Services to Chariton High School athletes at no charge.
