Pulmonary Rehabilitation
LCHC Pulmonary Rehabilitation multidisciplinary team specializes in treating people suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and other respiratory diseases that impair daily living. Those at risk for the disease include, but are not limited to, asthmatics, smokers, and those who suffer from serious bronchitis.
Patients who believe they are in need of services offered by LCHC Pulmonary Rehabilitation are encouraged to consult with their physician. Family doctors and specialists will refer patients to LCHC Pulmonary Rehabilitation for treatment.
LCHC Pulmonary Rehabilitation provides an individualized plan of care specific to each individual’s needs including:
- Medical evaluation
- Monitored exercise
- Home exercise program development
- Lifestyle/risk factor assessment and modification options
- Medication teaching
- Diet instruction
- Client and family educational counseling and behavioral interventions
